CROATIAN INNOVATORS ACHIEVED REMARKABLE RESULTS AT THE ISIF INTERNATIONAL INNOVATION FAIR IN TURKEY  

From August 30 to September 4, 2022, the largest world fair of technology, aviation and space industry TEKNOFEST was held in the Republic of Turkey in the city of Samsun, as part of which the international innovation fair ISIF 2022 was also held. 
 
The Croatian Association of Innovators presented a dozen Croatian innovators, some of whom achieved remarkable results. 
 
Representatives of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (Nadir Kapetanović, Đula Nađ, Nikica Kokir, Martin Oreč, Kristijan Krčmar, Nikola Mišković) with their innovation “Autonomous catamaran for mariculture” won the prize of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for the best international innovation of the fair. 
 


Gold was awarded to “Multipurpose device for outdoor exercise with virtual trainer” by Gordan Sinđić, while Codel d.o.o. was awarded silver. with the innovation “Machine vision quality control” by Marijan Sever. 
 
Innovations “System for measuring respiration realized with capacitive technology” (author: Matija Purgar and mentor Prof. Mario Cifrek), and “Comparison of simulation results of capacitive non-contact electrodes with results of circuit design” (author: Luka Klaić and mentor Prof. Dr. Mario Cifrek) were awarded a special award from the state of Morocco. 
 
TEKNOFEST had more than 1.25 million visitors in one week, which makes it the largest in the world. At the fair itself, more than 200 innovations from all over the world were presented, while at the rest of TEKNOFEST the drones of the Bayraktar company, Turkish space programs and electric vehicle competitions were the most attractive, along with many STEM workshops for young people.
